1979

Jim Farley founds The J.P. Farley Corporation (JPF), managing eligibility and billing administration for a large, multi-employer plan.

1985

J.P. Farley utilizes the first Provider network to offer the benefits of a national network to our self-funded clients.

1996

J.P. Farley implements their first direct electronic data interchange connection to a plan sponsor’s payroll system, eliminating manual eligibility entry; Jim also becomes the Chairman of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA).

1999

J.P. Farley begins their first initiative to become paper-free and starts to store all claims digitally; jpfarley.com is launched.

2000

J.P. Farley becomes the first ISO 9002 Certified TPA in Ohio (and the second TPA in the nation) by implementing procedures and auditing standards established by the ISO.

2011

Expands use of the VBA platform to fully integrate with the J.P. Farley website. This enables plan representatives and participants to view their claims & eligibility information in real time.

2014

Jim is appointed to the HCAA board.

2017

J.P. Farley debuts a reimagined business model to improve the patient and client experience by humanizing healthcare from appointment to payment with compassion, driving positive change through innovation and connection, and providing clarity in every dollar spent.

2020

Michelle Bounce, Chief Operating Officer, obtains a share of ownership and becomes a partner of the J.P. Farley Corporation to carry on Jim’s vision and legacy for decades to come.

2022

Michelle is appointed to the 2022-2023 HCAA Board of Directors. Jim is also honored by the HCAA Board of Directors in recognition of his service and contributing efforts to the association’s goals.

2023

Michelle Bounce is promoted to President of the J.P. Farley Corporation. She continues to help shape the company’s vision for the future and our mission to provide superior plans and benefits that meet the real-life needs of clients and members.

2024

J.P. Farley 4.0 launches to support the next generation of healthcare administration with enhancements to core systems and processes. These advancements place an emphasis on digital tools, AI integrations, and pre-built triggers that utilize massive amounts of data to provide better service to our clients and achieve better outcomes for their members.
